Hogarelia in English

A fair, safe marketplace for home services in Bogotá

Hogarelia is a technology platform that puts households in contact with home-service professionals in Bogotá, Colombia. It is worker-centred: each professional sets their own price, decides their own schedule and receives 100% of their price. The household pays Hogarelia's service fee, shown separately before booking and on the receipt.

Domestic work is one of the least structured sectors in Colombia: around 700,000 people work in it, 93% of them women and about 78% informally (DANE GEIH 2024). Hogarelia gives them a professional profile, online payment, a written service agreement for every booking and a record of their work.

How it works

1. Choose the service and the time. Cleaning, cooking, care and more. You pick the day, the start time and how many hours.
2. See who is available, with identity checked. Each profile shows its verification status, its level, its ratings and the total you would pay.
3. Book and pay online. The professional accepts or declines your booking. Payment is online, never in cash.

Trust comes from verification and safety, not promises: identity is checked by comparing the national ID card with a selfie through facial recognition, and the background certificate each professional uploads is reviewed. A profile whose documents are still being checked is listed with that status, and the household pays a lower service fee for it.
